Developing Intelligence through Football Training. This is how our Football Academy in Gurgaon is Developing Intelligent players through our Unique training methodology
At our football academy in Gurgaon, we believe that becoming a great football player is a byproduct of being able to make good decisions, quickly under pressure.
Through standardised training practices such as doing drills, kids can quickly learn how to be fast, and how to kick hard, but this does not guarantee that they will play well, especially when they are under pressure in tournaments.
Being able to make the right decision and take the right action within a split second is what makes a good technical player great.
This is the kind of decision-making and intelligence we train and develop within our kids at FAB Football Academy, using Chaotic games
Our Standardised Style of Training Drills is what separates us from the Elite Footballing Nations
In India, it seems to be a standard practice that within training, we set up drills in a way that focuses more on technique and less on decision-making. You will more likely than not see kids standing in long lines waiting for their turns, and when they do perform the drill, the decision-making will only be one-dimensional. This is the complete opposite of a real match scenario.
For example, a typical shooting drill has long waiting lines where each kid only gets a few shots off during the time of this drill. There is also not much decision-making required as this is not a real match situation where the player is constantly under pressure and has to create space for himself before shooting.
This type of training leads to fewer decisions per minute, leading to fewer learnings per session and therefore slow progress over time without actually learning how to use this drill in a real match scenario.
At FAB, we train using Chaotic games!
Introducing Chaos within our training sessions has been a game-changer for our kids. When we do drills, we make sure that the focus is on making as many decisions and actions per minute as possible. What this looks like is smaller lines, more touches on the ball, along chaos where the kids not only have to do the drill but also have to protect the ball from opponents and other players doing the same drills alongside them.
This makes them make multi-dimensional decisions at the same time. And the more decisions they make, the better they get at decision-making. This has helped us see the quick growth and overall intelligence development of our kids, both on and off the field
